Abstract
On Wednesday November 13, 2013 students, faculty and staff from the College of Nursing and Professional Disciplines participated in the Northland Career Expo at the Alerus Center in Grand Forks, ND. This six hour event provided high school sophomores information regarding career and education possibilities. Over 400 high school students from across Northern North Dakota and Minnesota attended the Career Expo. The College of Nursing and Professional Disciplines had a booth that featured the undergraduate and graduate programs in the Departments of Nursing and Social Work and the undergraduate program in Nutrition and Dietetics. Over 100 students stopped by the booth to talk with students, faculty and staff about career opportunities and what they can be doing now to prepare for a career in one of those area of study.
