Abstract

Terence "Terry" Joseph Paulson, 69, Fargo died on Wednesday, October 18, 2017 at Sanford Health hospital from complications after heart surgery.

Terry was born July 3, 1948 in Breckenridge, MN to Almond and Bernardine (Desautels) Paulson. He spent his childhood living in Lidgerwood, N.D., and graduated from St. Francis Academy in Hankinson, ND in 1966. Terry was an Army veteran serving honorably in Saigon, Viet Nam where he monitored reconnaissance photos for army movements.

After returning from the war he attended NDSU earning a B.A. in History in 1974. He then earned a Law degree from UND in 1978. Terry practiced law at a number of law firms in Jamestown, ND, later attaining named partnership status. After leaving those firms, he spent his final years in Fargo.

Terry was an intelligent, intense, caring individual who enjoyed sports, playing cards, working puzzles and keeping up on current events through the internet. He was also highly skilled in arguing a point, a skill he acquired during his years practicing law, and had a knack at telling corny joke.
