Abstract
Oral history interview with Harold A. "Bud" Haas of the 42nd Infantry Division, U.S. Army, during the Second World War. Haas was captured by the German army in France in January 1945 and was imprisoned at Stalag 9B, near Bad Orb, Germany. The camp was liberated by the American army in April 1945.
Bud Haas was born on 3 November 1917 in Mountrail County, North Dakota, and died on 29 March 2009 in Bismarck.
