Abstract
Oral history interview with Don Demmert of the U.S. Army Air Corps during the Second World War. Demmert was shot down over Germany in July 1944 and was imprisoned at Stalag Luft 1, near Barth, Germany. The camp was liberated by the Russian army in early May 1945.
Donald G. Demmert was born in New Jersey on 9 May 1923 and died in Virginia on 11 June 2018.
