Abstract
Oral history interview with John William "Bill" Haney of the U.S. Army Air Corps during the Second World War. Haney was shot down over Germany in July 1944 and was imprisoned at Stalag Luft 1, near Barth, Germany. The camp was liberated by the Russian army in early May 1945.
Bill Haney was born in Minneapolis on 6 October 1922 and died in Arizona on 4 January 2006.
