Abstract
Oral history interview with Lauren Schwisow of the 15th Air Force, 461st Bomb Group, U.S. Army Air Force, during the Second World War. Schwisow was captured by German forces near Linz, Austria in 1944 and was imprisoned in the Stalag Luft I POW camp near Barth, Germany. Schwisow was liberated by Soviet troops in May 1945.
Lauren Schwisow was born on 21 June 1923 in Daykin, Nebraska and died on 29 July 2004 in Thurston County, Washington.
