Artists' Books
An artist book is an artistic medium utilized by an artist to create a work of art where the book itself is the art. For centuries artists have been illustrators of books, and the 20th c. artists' book movement challenged the notion of art as mere illustration to literature by conceiving books that are considered artwork in their own right.
