From James Carley's notes: Stoneware cylindrical crock 13" high. Buff salt galze with an unusually nice leaf spray painted in ultramarine - light or dark depending on the thickness capacity mark 5 is also filled with blue. Albany type slip inside. Cream colored body. Slight tooling under the flat collar, and an incised line for placing the handles. Chips on the rim and a hair crack. Purchased at an Atlanta antique show. Probably from Harrisburg or possibly Carlisle PA.
