From James Carley's notes: Crock of buff stoneware, 12" dia., 9" high. A nice olive green glaze inside, a darker olive brown outside, with some variations. The turned-down rim and the slightly concave base are unglazed. Ribbing inside and out. Capacity mark: 2, 2" from the base. The glazer's finger marks show. There are small chips caused by unrefined clay body. A crack from the rim. It was greasy when purchased at a flee market, Western NC.
