From James Carley's notes: Stoneware crock 10" high 9 1/2 dia., almost globular. Buff body, covered completely except on base with black slip, brown where thin. Pretty uniformly spotted with brown. Mark scratched on shoulder is RB or HB with a 2 capacity mark. Conspicous ribbing especially on the inside. Two lug handles. Purchased Atlanta antique show. The dealer said this one is NC.
