From James Carley's notes: Stoneware church 16 1/2" high. Salt glaze. Inside an olive yellow glaze. Very free brush work in cobalt blue, a 4 with three diagonal slashes on either side of it. Two shallow lug handles. A raised line above them and an incised double line below them. A bit of blue on the back, and some redish firing blushes. Purchased from Jack Hammann.
