From James Carley's notes: Stoneware churn 18" high with sombre green ash glaze. One strap handle, one lug handle. The greatest dia. is almost 2/3 up from the unglazed base. High collar, slightly flaring. The mouth is somewhat warped, so oval. A little blue in the glaze inside the collar. Mark = 6 incised under the lug handle. Purchased Clermont GA.
