In this Grand Challenges Information Symposium Panel from Wednesday, March 21, 2018, as part of the 49th Annual UND Writers Conference: “Truth & Lies,” Becky Weaver-Hightower, Cari Campbell, Rick Ferraro, and Justin Berg participate in a panel. The panelists discuss the psychological, historical, and cultural results of living in the so-called “information age.” The panel begins with a brief presentation from Rick Ferraro, Professor of Psychology, who will focus on the cognitive effects of information overload. The session will continue with Cari Campbell, Associate Professor of History, who will explore the problem of exhaustion historically, focusing on its gendered nature. The panelists also respond to audience questions.
