Most of the world is nonhuman and everything we do affects them, and there are thousands of times more of them than there are of us. If we have rights and we’re in the minority, shouldn’t animals as well? Jeff Sebo is a Clinical Associate Professor of Environmental Studies, and Affiliated Professor of Bioethics, Medical Ethics, Philosophy, and Law at New York University. He is the author, most recently, of Saving Animals, Saving Ourselves.
