Artist Bio
Anna Bulkina (b. Luhansk, Ukraine) is a contemporary Ukrainian painter who lives and works in Lviv. She trained at the art school in Luhansk (1988–1992) and then at the National Academy of Arts in Lviv (1993–1999). Her painting has been described as "the approach of light to the body."

A figurative oil painting depicting the head and shoulders of a figure with green-toned skin and short, dark bobbed hair with straight bangs, shown frontally and gazing forward. The figure rises behind a counter with potted plants. A pale disembodied hand reaches in from the lower center toward the plants.
