Abstract
This paper examines how exercise positively impacts the mental health of college students, a group especially vulnerable to mental health challenges. It reviews empirical evidence showing that exercise improves self-efficacy, reduces negative emotions, and lowers suicide risk by enhancing confidence, sleep, academic success, and reducing depression, anxiety, and stress. While exercise is not a complete solution to mental health issues, it can significantly alleviate symptoms and prevent further distress.
