Abstract

The annual University of North Dakota Art & Design faculty exhibition will open with a public reception on Wednesday, Feb. 25, at the Colonel Eugene E. Myers Art Gallery in the Hughes Fine Arts Center on campus.

The reception will run from 4-6 p.m., and will be an informal social gathering that is free and open to all UND faculty, staff, and students as well as the general public. Refreshments will be served.

The University’s Myers Art Gallery seldom displays faculty artwork due to heavy demands for use of the space by graduating UND Art & Design students in the bachelors of fine arts and masters of fine arts programs. Therefore, this show offers a rare glimpse of art produced by instructors from the UND Art & Design Department. The exhibition features work in a variety of mediums including animation art, ceramics, drawing, graphic design, jewelry & metals, painting, photography, printmaking, sculpture and mixed media.

The instructors from UND’s Art & Design program look forward to greeting visitors at the reception.

The exhibition will run until March 5. Normal gallery hours are Mondays-Thursdays, 11 a.m.- 4:30pm.
