Abstract

The University of North Dakota University Band and Greater Grand Forks City Band will present "Sounds of the Season! A Holiday Concert," at 7 p.m., Sunday, Dec. 7, in the Memorial Union Ballroom.

Tickets, available at the door, are $6 for adults, $3 for students and senior citizens, or $12 per family.

The concert will feature both bands performing arrangements of holiday classics. The Greater Grand Forks City Band, under the direction of Don Langlie, will perform the popular "Let It Go" from the movie "Frozen" as well as a holiday sing-a-long as part of their program.

James Popejoy, director of bands at UND, will conduct the University Band, performing "Ode to Greensleeves," "Three Noels" and "Jingle Bells Fantasy," among other selections.

The two ensembles will combine to perform "The Most Wonderful Time of the Year" and Leroy Anderson's classic "Sleigh Ride."
