Abstract
Bismarck attorney Bonnie Storbakken started work as legal counsel to Governor Jack Dalrymple on Sept. 2.
Storbakken previously served as commissioner of the Department of Labor and Human Rights, a job she held since May 2013.
In a news release announcing Troy Seibel's appointment as labor commissioner, Dalrymple said he looked forward to working with Storbakken in her new role as legal counsel.
"Bonnie has done an outstanding job leading the Department of Labor and Human Rights, and her legal talents will now be applied to a larger range of issues important to North Dakota," the governor said in the news release.
Storbakken earned her Bachelor's Degree in Elementary Education as well as her Juris Doctor from the University of North Dakota. Upon graduating from Law School in May 2004, she was employed with the North Dakota State Bar Association as the Program Director. Beginning in 2005, she went into private legal practice in Bismarck with a focus on domestic relations cases. In 2007, she started Storbakken Law and Mediation.
