Abstract
Dr. Grandbois, is an enrolled member of the Turtle Mountain Chippewa Nation, Belcourt, ND. She is a graduate of the University of North Dakota, College of Nursing, earning both a BSN degree, with honors, and a Master's degree in the Clinical Nurse Specialization in psychiatric mental health nursing. Dr. Grandbois served as a clinical instructor at UND College of Nursing for a number of years after graduation. She earned her doctoral degree from North Dakota State University in Gerontology. Currently, Dr. Grandbois is one of only two American Indian gerontologists in the country.
