Abstract

Ceramicist Rebekah Bogard, an associate professor in ceramics at the University of Nevada-Reno, will be visiting the University of North Dakota from Feb. 26-27.

Bogard will give a free public lecture at 5 p.m. on Thursday, Feb. 27, in the Paul E. Barr Memorial Lecture Room, in the Hughes Fine Arts Building (Room 227) on UND Campus.

The artist will also perform demonstrations on Wednesday, Feb 26, from 9 a.m.-noon and 1 p.m.-4:30 p.m. as well as on Thursday, Feb. 27 from 9:30 a.m.-noon and 1 p.m.-4:30 p.m., in Room 107, also in the Hughes Fine Arts Building.

Bogard received her MFA from the University of Nevada Las Vegas in 2003. She has received numerous awards including being named an "Emerging Artist" by both the National Council on Education for the Ceramic Arts and Ceramics Monthly Magazine. Bogard currently teaches at the University of Nevada, Reno.
