Abstract

The University of North Dakota Global Visions Film Series continues with the screening of a Spanish film, The Artist and the Model, at 7 p.m., Tuesday, Feb. 25, in the Memorial Union Lecture Bowl.

The film's story happens in the summer of 1943 in the occupied France. A famous old sculptor, who seems to have reached the end of his life and his art, finds a desire to work on his last masterpiece with the appearance of a beautiful young Spanish refugee.

The 2012 French-language drama is directed by Fernando Trueba and written by Tureba and Jean-Claude Carriere.

The UND Global Visions Film Series, free and open to the public, is partially funded by SOFA, the Department of Anthropology and the Era Bell Thompson Multicultural Center and sponsored by the Black Student Association.
