UND’s Olafson Ethics Symposium highlights factors that help employees make the right decisions

Abstract

The University of North Dakota's College of Business & Public Administration will host the 2013 Olafson Ethics Symposium on Thursday, Nov. 7, at 7 p.m. at the Gorecki Alumni Center.

Keynote speaker Christopher Bauer, a clinical psychologist, business owner and business consultant, will bring a unique perspective to this year's event, designed to engage students, alumni and local business leaders in conversations regarding ethical decisions

Bauer has seen the decision-making process from every angle. He has more than 25 years of experience in the field, and has identified what helps employees make the right decisions.

In addition to speaking and consulting, Bauer publishes a "Weekly Ethics Thought" that is read by thousands of subscribers around the globe. His latest book, Better Ethics NOW: How To Avoid the Ethics Disaster You Never Saw Coming, has been a business top seller on Amazon.com

The symposium is free and open to the public.

Following the keynote presentation will be a dessert reception. This annual event is funded through the support of UND alumnus Robert Olafson in support of his dedication to ethical business practices and UND.
