Abstract

University of North Dakota College of Nursing and Professional Discipline students will be holding a showing of the must-see documentary, Escape Fire: The Fight to Rescue American Healthcare.

The documentary begins at 7 p.m., Wednesday, April 3, in Gamble Hall Room 1.

Following the documentary, a panel of health care experts from the Grand Forks community will lead a discussion. The movie is free and open to the public, and door prizes will be given out in a drawing at the end.

The documentary addresses one of the most prevalent and problematic questions in our society: how can we save our broken healthcare system? Escape Fire follows stories of healthcare in America, involving healing and prevention as America adjusts to the changing medical structure.

The showing was organized as a class project UND nursing students Courtney Kenefick and Keely Heppner. Their advisor is Joni Tweeten, UND Nursing Clinical Instructor.

This event is sponsored by the College of Nursing and Professional Disciplines, North Dakota Public Health Association, Grand Forks Public Health Department and the Alliance for Healthcare Access.
