Abstract

The University of North Dakota Department of Space Studies and the University's Astronomy Club will be holding another one of their "Public Star Party" events Friday, July 13, at Clifford Hall on campus. Future star parties are scheduled for Aug. 31, at Clifford Hall; and July 20, Sept. 14 and Oct. 9, at the UND Observatory, west of Grand Forks.

There will be fun space activities for kids and everyone is welcome. Presentations are geared for all ages.

Here are the details for Friday's Star Party at Clifford Hall:

When: Friday, July 13, starting at 9 p.m.

Where: Clifford Hall, Room 210

What: Star Party - there will be presentations about living in space and the history of human spaceflight and a Q&A session, followed by planet viewing and moon viewing through telescopes in the parking lot (if the weather is not cooperating, only the talks will happen). It's free and open to the public. The public also is invited to bring their telescopes, if they want, or use one provided by the astronomy club and space studies department.
