Abstract
The University of North Dakota is changing email providers and as a result the old U-mail system will be retired on Tuesday, December 27, 2011. Your U-mail account will no longer receive or send email messages and forwarding will only occur on the Microsoft BPOS system. If your account is moving to the new UND email systems, you should have already completed the migration process. It is imperative that you begin the transition immediately. No one will be able to retain a U-mail account, so please take action now. See the groups below for more detailed and contact information below.
Current Faculty/Staff
Faculty and staff are moving to Microsoft BPOS. If you are not already using your BPOS account, please contact your department IT specialist or UND Tech Support. If you participate in any email subscription lists please ensure you update your account with your new email address.
Students
Students attending UND as of Spring semester 2010 have a Live@edu address. On December 16, UND will switch from U-mail to Live@edu as the official student email system. To ensure receipt of important UND communication, please begin using your Live@edu account now.
Professor Emeritus/Adjunct Faculty
Professor Emeritus and adjunct faculty may also have a BPOS account. If you are not already using your BPOS account, please contact your department IT specialist or UND Tech Support.
Former Faculty, Staff and Students
You will need to transition to a new (non-UND) email account as soon as possible as you will lose access to the UND U-mail system on December 27, 2011.
Department/Organization
Departments and student organizations may have a BPOS account. If your departmental/organization email has not been migrated to BPOS, please contact your department IT specialist or UND Tech Support.
