Abstract

Kristine Paranica, director of the University of North Dakota's Conflict Resolution Center, has been named tri-chair of the 2011 Association for Conflict Resolution's 10th Anniversary Conference in San Diego.

The conference is titled "Many Paths, One Destination." Paranica will attend the national conference the week of Oct. 9-16, and work with ACR's board to support more than 500 attendees and nationally known speakers and presenters who will offer workshops and full-day skills sessions on topics related to conflict, peace and resolution.

Paranica will present a skills session on Conflict Coaching, and will join Jody Miller, of the Institute for the Study of Conflict Transformation, in leading a presentation on Domestic Violence screening for family mediators.

Locally, Paranica has spoken with the North Dakota Human Resources Association and Northern Occupational Safety and Health Organization on the topic of Preventing Workplace Bullying.
