Abstract

FARGO — Four lawyers have been named as finalists to fill the East Central Judicial District's judgeship vacancy created by the resignation of Judge Norman Anderson in Fargo.

The finalists identified by the Judicial Nominating Committee are Alisha Ankers, Jason McLean, Stephannie Stiel and Tristan Van de Streek, all of Fargo. Eleven lawyers initially applied for the position.

North Dakota Gov. Doug Burgum has about a month to make a selection from the committee's list of nominees, or he can ask for another list or call an election.
