Abstract

Under the direction of the Holloran Center for Ethical Leadership, Associate Professor of Law Michael S. McGinniss will lead a national working group tasked with creating for legal educators around the country developmental rubrics and assessment tools relating to “Integrity.” It is one of several work groups that will address various aspects of law students’ professional identity formation. This initiative coincides with the American Bar Association’s recent revisions to its accreditation standards to emphasize outcome-based education and enhanced formative and programmatic assessment of student learning.

Formed more than 10 years ago and located in the University of St. Thomas School of Law, the Holloran Center’s mission is “to provide innovative interdisciplinary research, curriculum development and programs focusing holistically on the formation of both students and practicing professionals into ethical leaders in their communities.”
