UND to host visiting artist Stephen Perloff for lecture, jury art exhibition Feb. 4

Abstract

The University of North Dakota Department of Art & Design will host visiting artist Stephen Perloff, photographer, founder, and editor of The Photo Review, a journal of international photography. He will give a free presentation at 5 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 4, in The Paul E. Barr Memorial Lecture Room, 227 Hughes Fine Arts Center.

The opening reception of the exhibition, Of Memory, Bone and Myth 7, a national juried photography exhibition, will be from 6 to 7:30 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 4, in the Col. Eugene E. Myers Art Gallery, Hughes Fine Arts Center. The exhibition is juried by Stephen Perloff and curated by Associate Professor Suzanne Gonsalez-Smith, who will give an informal gallery talk at 6:30 p.m. Everyone is welcome. The exhibition will be on display Feb. 2-25.

The visiting artist series is sponsored by the Colonel Eugene E. Myers.
