UND professor wins 2016 Global Young Investigator Award

Abstract
University of North Dakota Professor Surojit Gupta has been selected to receive the 2016 Engineering Ceramics Division Global Young Investigator (GYI) Award. The GYI Award is given annually to a ceramic engineer whose achievements have been significant to both the field of ceramic engineering and the global population.
Gupta is an assistant professor for the Advanced Materials Research Group in UND’s Department of Mechanical Engineering. As the winner of the GYI Award, he will receive an honorarium of $1,000 and have the opportunity to deliver a lecture at the 40th International Conference and Expo on Advanced Ceramics and Composites (ICACC), which will be held January in Daytona Beach, Fla.
The GYI Award is presented by the American Ceramic Society as part of its mission to advance the study and use of ceramic and glass materials.
