Description

Rosemarie Myrdal surrounded by seven unidentified men holding up the new North Dakota license plate design, "Discover the Spirit." The new design depicts a prairie scene with a bison at the bottom left and three wheat stalks at the bottom right. The new design was awarded "Plate of the Year" for best new license plate of 1993 by the Automobile License Plate Collectors Association.

A Republican from Edinburg, Rosemarie Myrdal represented District 11 (Pembina and Walsh counties) in the North Dakota House from 1985 until 1993 and served as the Lieutenant Governor of North Dakota from 1993 to 2001.
