Description
Cartoon depicts the "Basin" in a black suit, preventing a man, "Lignite," from proposing marriage to a woman named "Gov. Guy." Behind the woman is a pile of coal, "No. Dak. Natural Resources." A proposed pipeline would carry crude oil from northern North Dakota fields into Canada for trans-shipment into pipelines serving refineries in the Minnesota Twin Cities and Duluth-Superior areas.
