Description
This telegram dated June 27, 1955, from Three Affiliated Tribes Tribal Chairperson Martin Cross to United States (US) Senator William Langer, informs Langer that Superintendent Shane of the Fort Berthold Indian Agency has resigned from his position effective August 1st. This is likely a reference to Ralph M. Shane who was superintendent of the Fort Berthold Agency from 1953 to 1955. Cross says that the council should offer recommendations for a replacement and asks Langer for his advice and support.
There are some handwritten notes on the telegram.
