John Snyder has worked in Minnesota, North Carolina and Iowa. Among some of the influences on his art were American folk art and the work of self-taught artists.
Among some venues his art has been exhibited are the Walker Art Center in Minneapolis and the North Dakota Museum of Art in Grand Forks.
