Artist Bio
Jackie McElroy is a former Professor and Chair of the University of North Dakota Art Department. Inspired by the landscapes of eastern North Dakota, she reveals her interest in the intentional placement of trees on the landscape, often as shelterbelts.
In this print, trees pop up in an unexpected location, arising from an artist’s brush. In her unusual landscapes, McElroy draws attention to the unexpected and illustrates how creative exploration of a physical location can reveal a uniqueness of place and culture.
Additional Information
