Text Panel:
Jackie McElroy is a former Professor and Chair of the University of North Dakota Art Department. Following her retirement form UND, she turned her focus to writing murder mysteries under her pen name Nora Barker.
In her print, Aerial Perspective, McElroy juxtaposes the rectangular patterns of cultivated fields as seen from a "birds-eye" perspective with similar geometric forms in the distant city- perhaps suggesting the encroaching urban landscape on farmland.
