Artist Bio
Jessica Christy was born on the Sanger Art Farm located on the northern edge of the Sheyenne River Valley in North Dakota and was the daughter of two artists. Christy received her MFA in Visual Arts from UND in 2010 and currently works and resides in Chicago, Illinois as a full-time artist. Christy’s work reflects her self-proclaimed “transplanted indigenous identity” and the culture shock she has experienced while navigating the urban landscape in contrast to her rural upbringings in the Dakota culture.
*The original print was produced by her when she was a graduate student.
