Abstract
Oral history interview with Jack W. Murphy of the U.S. Army Air Corps during the Second World War. Murphy was shot down over Austria in July 1944 and was imprisoned at Stalag Luft 1, near Barth, Germany. The camp was liberated by the Russian army in early May 1945.
Jack W. Murphy was born in Pennsylvania on 15 January 1917 and died in the same state on 20 December 2005.
