Abstract
Oral history interview with Russell Christianson of the U.S. Army Air Force during the Second World War. Christianson was shot down on his 49th mission and spent over a year as a prisoner of war at Stalag Luft 1, near Barth, Germany.
Russell C. Christianson was born on 21 December 1918 in Upham, North Dakota. He died on 23 March 2001 and is buried at the North Dakota Veterans Cemetery in Mandan.
