Abstract
Oral history interview with Erling Olson of the U.S. Army Air Force during the Second World War. Olson was a member of the 392nd Bomber Group and his plane was shot down over Germany in November 1943. He was captured by the German Army and was imprisoned at Stalag Luft 17B. Olson was liberated following an 18 day forced march in April 1945.
Erling A. Olson was born on 21 December 1919 in Vang, North Dakota, and died on 7 August 1999 in Langdon, North Dakota.
