Artist Bio
Sigurdur Gudmundsson (Sigurður Guðmundsson) was born in 1942 in Reykjavik, Iceland and is currently based out of the Netherlands. Gudmunsson studied at the School of Arts and Crafts at the University of Iceland from 1960 to 1963. He is best known for his beliefs as nature being a spiritual authority figure in life, representing what is pure and good in the world. This ideology is reflected in his photography, sculptures, graphic art and artists' books. Sigurdur Gudmundsson has exhibited his works all over Europe and other parts of the world.
