Artist Bio

Christopher C. Cook was born in North Yorkshire, England in 1959. Cook studied literature and the fine arts at the University of Exeter, UK, and then moved on to the Royal College of Art, London where he received his MA in painting. He is best known for his monochromatic work both painted and drawn in graphite powder in resin or oil. His artworks are often showcased in his artists' books alongside poems of his. Christopher C. Cook has work in the permanent collections in the Minneapolis Museum of Art, the Metropolitan Museum of Art, and many others around the world.
