Description
Black and white photograph taken from atop a train car of the North Dakota State Mill, located on 1823 Mill Road. Train cars align all of the track along side the mill.
Operations officially began in October 1922 as a landmark initiative of the Nonpartisan League to support local farmers. It is the largest single flour mill in the United States and remains the only state-owned milling facility in the country and was placed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1992.
