Description
At the time of this photo in 1974 the Deaconess Hospital, located at 212 South Fourth Street, was a unit of the United Hospital. In 1971 the Deaconess Hospital and St. Michaels Hospital had merged to form what was to be know as the United Hospital. In 1976 the building of the United Hospital was completed and the two merged hospital were no longer needed and were closed down shortly after.
Many people are seen entering the building front door. The off street parking directly in front of hospital is completely filled with cars. There are no leaves remaining on the single tree in front of the building on the lower left hand side of picture.
