From James Carley's notes: Stoneware jug 14" high. Salt glazed, but an unusual finish. Both dark gray-green and dull red. Evidently a very thin layer of slip had been brushed over it. Tall neck. Prickled 2 under the handle. Three kiln droppings. Purchased in Mt. Airy NC.
