From James Carley's notes: Redware storage jar 14 1/2" high. Thickened collar, thinning out toward the rim. Lug handles. Transparent lead glaze speckled with black. Mark: I. TINGLER. Impressed on shoulder between 5 straight incesed lines and 5 wavey lines. A notable chip caused by a piece of white stone in the body. Several chips around teh base. The glaze is deteriorated in the interior. Purchased Indianpolis Antique show. It was found near Delaware Ohio. Proably Ohio, 1st half of 19th c.
