From James Carley's notes: Stoneware jug 12 1/2" high, looking more hand made than later pieces of the type. A long neck. The bronze-brown glaze of the inside and the upper exterior is gloss on the vertical planes, curdled on the flat or diagonal surfaces. Purchased Madison, Indiana.
