Description
This letter, dated April 24, 1956, from Perpetua Grinnell, of Raub, North Dakota, on the Fort Berthold Reservation, to United States (US) Representative Usher Burdick, appears to be part of a letter-writing campaign in support of US Senate Bill 2151 (S. 2151) and per capita payments. Grinnell indicates that Cross has a meeting with Burdick on April 25, and he speaks for the majority of the tribal members on the Fort Berthold Reservation. About half a dozen similar letters were in Burdick's files.
