Description
Daniel Ellsberg, the whistle blower who leaked the Pentagon Papers to news media in 1971, takes a drink of water during a speech at the Chester Fritz Auditorium on March 5, 1974. The Pentagon Papers revealed that while the U.S. had secretly enlarged the scope of its actions in the Vietnam War, the administration of President Lyndon Johnson had deliberately withheld this fact from both Congress and the public.
